In 2009, 11.1 million adults were victims of identity theft, according to a study conducted by Javelin Strategy and research &. This was an increase of 12% from 2008. One of the biggest problems with identity theft is the cost to consumers both time and money. The study shows that the average fraud victim spent 21 hours and $ 373 trying to clear their names of identity theft.

Early detection is key when it comes to fighting identity theft. Before you know an occurrence of theft, the sooner you can take steps to prevent further damage. Learn to recognize the signs of identity theft, in order to respond quickly.

Calls from debt collectors are often the first sign of identity theft. By the time the debt collectors start calling you, accounts were often opened for several months. If you receive a call, inform the Agency of collection that this debt is not yours. Get a copy of your credit report to see if other accounts have been opened in your name, and place a fraud alert or security freeze on your credit report.

Signs of cheating

You have a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, something is not right, but understand what the feeling is about. Your spouse has become far, you're working late on a regular basis or, maybe your spouse has moved out of the House with no explanation. You suspect that there may be someone else, but every time you bring it up with your spouse, deny the possibility. All the signs are there, but you have no proof. So, pay close attention to signs and your instinct, but be careful not to confuse the signs with the test.

If you hear these words, a big Bell alarm should go off. This is one of the things that tell you that more coherent a cheating spouse. Your spouse may have a deep, loving bond with you, but intense feelings of passion can override the link with you, and cause your spouse to lose sight of the real feelings. The cheating spouse will develop what I call hormone-induced amnesia. The surge of hormones and the passion that they feel in their new report may cause some thought very skewed.

In today's world, with modern technology, a person looking for a bargain also must not leave their home. The ease of internet chat, online dating sites and secret email account caused an increase in emotional affairs alarming.

If your spouse is online more than usual, hanging out in chat rooms and visiting pornographic websites then you have reason to be worried.
